Inside the Harbour Rocks Hotel, you’ll find Scarlett Restaurant , one of the city’s hidden secrets. The chic restaurant serves Modern Australian cuisine among historic sandstone walls, to give diners a true sense of place. During Vivid Sydney, Scarlett is offering a Prix Menu, designed to get you well-fed and back on the light walk to explore the installations. For $25, enjoy a main course and a drink, and efficient friendly service is of course complimentary. Choose from five selections, including beef ragu pappardelle with crumbled parmesan, Harbour Rocks club sandwich with fries or chicken yakitori with steamed rice and Asian salad. To drink, choose from a glass of semillon sauvignon blanc, shiraz cabernet or a soft drink.

Pop into this pasta pop up
The Fine Food Store in Kendall Lane transforms into a Pasta Pop Up during Vivid Sydney. With special extended hours, every Friday and Saturday night during the festival, the specially designed Vivid Sydney dinner menu will tempt with homestyle, Northern Italian fare, with all pasta made fresh with expertise and lots of love. Don’t forget to enjoy a cold brewed or single origin espresso coffee, a trademark which has made the Fine Food Store a firm local favourite for over 10 years.

Before you start exploring the colourful lights of Vivid Sydney, begin your night at Saké . Offering an express Vivid Sydney Menu, served from 5pm until 6pm each night, this Japanese dining institution is now under the expert eye of Neil Perry, the chief brand and culinary officer of Saké’s parent company Rockpool Dining Group. The special Vivid Sydney degustation menu includes Perry’s signature dishes such as kingfish hamachi with soy dressing, house-made lime and jalapeño kosho. Degustation dinner costs $55 per person, with optional sake matching flight at $20 per person.

Situated right in the heart of The Rocks, the Endeavour Tap Rooms is a popular refuel station for Vivid Sydney visitors. Stop by for a quick meal and a drink as part of your Vivid Sydney experience, as this restaurant tempts you with their $25 beer and meal deal. Enjoy tender slow cooked beef brisket, served with potato salad, corn, and a bread roll—and wash it down a middy of craft beer on tap. The Australian Heritage Hotel offers some of the best al fresco dining under the spectacular light show of Vivid Sydney.
